Student Orientation Activities for the New Academic Year 2025/26

The “Student Orientation Day” for the 2025/26 academic year was successfully held on 30 August 2025, providing around 200 new students with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with Gratia’s campus environment, facilities, learning life, and relevant resources and support services, in preparation for the commencement of the semester.

Prof. H.S. CHUI, PhD, BBS, JP, President of Gratia Christian College, welcomed the new students on behalf of the college and shared Gratia’s vision and mission. He hoped that students would experience personal transformation during the learning process and demonstrate the core values of “CHRIST” to prepare themselves to be the servant leaders contributing to the society in the future. Prof. CHUI also encouraged students to embrace technological advancements to enhance their learning and knowledge acquisition.

Furthermore, representatives from various administrative offices of the college also introduced their services to the new students. The Student Development Office organized a series of orientation activities in the afternoon for the new students to interact with each other and explore the neighbourhood.

In addition, the Student Development Office held an Orientation Camp for freshmen from 1st to 2nd September. The theme of this event was “Nostalgia.” It implied not only dwelling on the past but giving us momentum to move forward.

The freshmen were led by the senior from campus to the outdoor that rapport was quickly built up through various games and interactive activities. The two-day orientation campus not only let the freshman get to know each other, but also fostered connections across different disciplines that further enhanced communication and sharing among the students, laying a solid foundation for the post-secondary education life ahead.
