Gratia Christian College 10th Anniversary Dinner – Witnessing God’s Grace

Gratia Christian College held its grand 10th Anniversary dinner in the evening on 18 June 2026, sharing the joy of the College’s development over the past decade with 250 guests — including board members, council members, faculty, students, alumni, church representatives, and friends from various sectors of the society. The dinner not only reviewed the college’s arduous journey from its inception but also testified to God’s marvelous guidance and abundant grace throughout.

The evening began with a video highlighting the College’s mission, growth, and recent developments. Over the past ten years, Gratia started with only an office and no physical campus. With continuous development of programmes and increasing number of students, the College reached a new milestone — moving the campus from Shek Kip Mei since its establishment in 2015 to a spacious new campus in Mei Foo, covering over 30,000 square feet, to provide a better learning environment.

Professor CHUI Hong Sheung, the President, reflected on the hardships and blessings of College’s founding in his speech. He frankly admitted, “It was impossible for Gratia to survive ten years from a human perspective. Starting from scratch to build a college — no money, no land, no people — but we had faith.”

Professor Chui expressed special gratitude to Mr. Yuen Shu Wah, Chairman of Board of Governors, for his crucial support in the early days. When Professor Chui shared the “three lacks” dilemma, Mr. Yuen immediately pledged his support, enabling Gratia’s vision to take its first steps.

He further encouraged the guests, “We have once again witnessed how miraculous this journey is. The issue is not whether you can do it, but whether you still have faith in times of crisis. Whatever God wants you to do, believe and act — and you will see God’s glory!”

To honor the dedication of faculty and staff, the Five-Year Service Awards were presented to the colleagues at the dinner (The Ten-Year Service Awards had previously been presented to the colleagues at the 10^th anniversary thanksgiving event cum opening ceremony of the Mei Foo campus).
