Graduation Ceremony of Gratia Christian College 2024

The Graduation Ceremony of Gratia Christian College was successfully held on 30th November 2024 with conferment of Bachelor’s Degree, Higher Diploma and Professional Diploma to the graduates of 2024 academic year. The Most Revd Andrew CHAN Au-ming, Archbishop and Primate of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui, was invited to be the Guest of Honour to officiate at the ceremony. Mr. Yuen Shu-wah, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Gratia Christian College hosted the conferment during the ceremony. Prof. Chui Hong-sheung, President of the College with the members of the Board of Governors of the college and the College Council presented certificates to the graduates. The total number of graduates is 146 this year. Graduates attending the Graduation Ceremony were witnessed by the members of the Board of Governors, College Council members, academic staff, guests, relatives and friends of the graduates in this memorable moment filled with joy and happiness.

During the ceremony, The Most Revd Andrew CHAN Au-ming, Archbishop and Primate of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui, delivered a speech stating: “Graduation serves as a platform from which we plan our next step in life. Graduates apply the knowledge they have acquired, embrace new arrangements, and embark on a new chapter for the future. Even in an era where artificial intelligence is becoming widespread, I believe that the care and love between people cannot be replaced. I congratulate all graduates from Psychology, Social Work, Education, Christian Ministry, and Service Management. May you shine brightly under the guidance of the Lord and change the world.”  He offered blessings to the graduates and encouraged them to strive for their future.

Prof Chui Hong-sheung, President of the College, sincerely congratulated all graduates on their achievements during the ceremony. He encouraged the graduates: “Carry the faith, knowledge, and values you have gained here into the future, and face the opportunities ahead with wisdom and courage. With faith and the guidance of our Heavenly Father, you can create a hopeful future for yourselves and those around you.”  He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the donors, churches, groups and organizations that have supported the establishment and development of the college. Finally, he wished all graduates a future filled with God’s grace in their lives and careers.

The graduates attending the ceremony came from various programs, including the Bachelor of Social Work (Honours), Bachelor of Christian Ministry (Honours), Higher Diploma in Social Work, Higher Diploma in Christian Ministry, Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Higher Diploma in Psychology and Counselling, Higher Diploma in Transformational Business Management, and Professional Diploma in Property and Facilities Management. Before the ceremony concluded, a choir from students and faculty staff performed “You Raise Me Up.” Finally, graduates, friends, guests, and faculty congratulated each other and took photos, sharing a wonderful and memorable moment.
